The Note-Ables Following
The band has developed a large and loyal following throughout northern Nevada and northeastern California. In the past few years, the group has had the honor of jamming with Mickey Hart and playing at events such as Artown and the Bowers Mansion Bluegrass Festival. They were one of six groups in Nevada invited to perform at Governor Brian Sandoval’s Inaugural Arts Celebration in 2011, and were selected to sing at the opening of the 72nd session of the Nevada Legislature in February 2013.
During a recent show at the Tahoe Tower Lobby at Renown Regional, The Note-Ables performed an exuberant and upbeat set of rock and pop tunes from artists such as The Beatles and Bob Dylan, but it wasn’t just the hits. You are struck by the breadth of pop knowledge the group has as it plays deep album cuts and songs that perfectly suit their rich harmonies.Mark Earnest
In addition to being talented musicians, The Note-Ables are strong advocates for inclusion. They know that their performances help shatter the stereotype that people with disabilities have limited talents and abilities. More so than many musicians, the band members know that hard work and dedication bring success. They love to play, they love to write, and they love to perform. Most importantly, they love knowing that they are helping to change the face of disability in our community.
