June 2015

Hello!

It’s so nice to sit down for a chat with you! We hope you’re doing well and enjoying the sudden emergence of our almost summer weather, just in time for June.

We are excited to welcome Dena Sweigart, the newest member of the NMTS crew. Dena is starting on June 2nd as our new Administrative Assistant.

Dena is a recent graduate of UNR with a degree in art history and a minor in women’s studies. She is passionate about the healing power of music and the arts and is thrilled to be joining us in the adventure of bringing music therapy to northern Nevada. Dena has the enthusiasm, creativity and organizational skills to jump in and thrive here at NMTS and we are happy to welcome her aboard. Next time you’re in the building, be sure to stop by and say hi!

Enjoy your beautiful weekend and hope to hear from you soon.

Sarah

P.S. Our dance workshop, iDance, is performing today (Saturday, May 30th) at 10am at McKinley Arts Center Auditorium. They’ve been working hard and would love to have you in the audience. Best of Facebook

Call me sappy, but I love these videos capturing the moment when an underdog singer has a huge performance and the audience goes wild in recognition of their gift. There is something so powerful about how we connect through music, both in expressing and receiving the gift of song. Click on the picture to play, and the Kleenex ready!

For the upcoming Aces Day, they are sponsoring the tickets for our participants to come to the game with a guest free of charge for a fun day.
